How Much Does UGC Cost in 2026?

How much does UGC cost?

It depends on how you buy it. As of October 2026, marketplace data puts one short creator video at about $100 to $200: Collabstr's 2026 report shows an average UGC asking price of $180, and Pitchlo's brief data a median of $100. Pay-per-video platforms such as Billo start at $99, while managed packages work out to about $375 to $440 a video. Paid-ad rights, extra hooks, product shipping and your team's time can add to that, so compare the cost per usable ad, not the headline rate.

UGC, short for user-generated content, is the creator-style video brands now buy to run as ads: a person talking to camera, unboxing, demonstrating or reviewing a product. What you pay depends on three things: who finds and briefs the creator, who edits the footage, and which rights you buy. In marketplace data from 2025 and 2026, one short creator video typically costs about $100 to $200 before extras. Managed packages cost more per video, about $375 to $440 in the published offers we checked, because the brief, creators, editing and rights come in one price.

Where these numbers come from. Every figure below comes from a linked public source, checked on October 19, 2026: marketplace datasets, published price lists and vendors' own pricing pages. Each source measures something different, so treat the figures as context for a quote, not as a quote. Knowlify sells done-for-you AI UGC ads, so we are not a neutral party; we left out any figure we could not trace to its source, and we do not publish client pricing here.

The sources disagree in the details because they measure different things. Collabstr separates what creators ask ($180) from what brands paid ($154), and it prices a package or engagement rather than a single video. Pitchlo counts the budgets brands advertise, not settled invoices, and reports a median, which is less affected by a few expensive jobs than an average. Influee's and Fiverr's figures cover their own marketplaces only.

Read together, they point to about $100 to $200 for one short creator video before extras. Creator rate guides often quote $500 or more for experienced creators, but the ones we checked did not publish a sample, so we did not use them. For the line items inside a creator's quote, from hooks to whitelisting, see our guide to UGC creator rates.

What do UGC platforms and agencies charge?

The same creator video can reach you through several buying routes. Each published price below buys a different amount of work, so the cheapest headline is not always the cheapest finished ad. All prices were checked on October 19, 2026.

UGC agency packageBrighter Click: $4,500 for 12 edited videos from 4 creatorsTwo aspect ratios per video, a creative strategist and unlimited usage rightsRush delivery costs extra; ask how whitelisting is priced

Per finished video, those published offers run from about $69 (a JoinBrands default job plus the 15% fee) and $92 (Trend's Starter package, which lists $91.67 a video) to $375 (Brighter Click's 12-video package) and $438 (Insense's first managed tier). That is our arithmetic from the published prices, not a quote from any vendor.

Two other routes sit at the ends of the range. Hiring a creator directly, through Upwork, Fiverr or a creator's own rate card, can cost less per video but leaves the brief, contract, shipping, feedback and rights paperwork with you. A done-for-you AI UGC service replaces the creator with an AI presenter and quotes for finished ads instead of videos. What adds to the price of a UGC video?

The base rate covers filming one video from your brief. These items are usually priced on top, and they can matter more than the base rate:

  • Usage rights for ads. Collabstr's 2025 report found influencer campaigns with usage rights averaged $307, against $221 without, a 39% difference across all campaign types, not only UGC. Several platforms now include rights in the price: Billo, JoinBrands, Trend and Brighter Click all state full or unlimited usage rights as of October 2026. Ask what "full" covers before you assume it includes ads in every channel.
  • Paid-ad access to the creator's account. Running an ad from the creator's handle (whitelisting, TikTok Spark Ads or Meta partnership ads) is usually a monthly license. An Insense pricing cheatsheet from 2024 lists starting prices of $100 to $150 a month for a 30-day Meta whitelisting or Spark Ads license. JoinBrands says Spark and partnership ad codes come with relevant campaigns at no extra cost.
  • Extra hooks and variations. A new opening line or call to action on the same video is cheaper than a new video. Twirl lists variations, meaning extra hooks or CTAs, at $80 each.
  • Raw footage. The same Insense cheatsheet suggests $50 to $100 or more for raw files. Insense's managed packages include raw footage.
  • Creator level and video length. On JoinBrands, a Level 2 creator costs 50% more and a Level 3 creator 100% more for a basic UGC video, and a 60-second video costs 20% more than a 15-second one.
  • Complex briefs. Billo suggests a complexity bonus of $20 to $190 when a brief asks for more than a standard video.
  • Product and shipping. Platforms such as Billo exclude the product and the cost of sending it to the creator.
  • Your team's time. Briefing, answering creators, reviewing drafts and editing are real costs even when nobody invoices you for them.

How do you work out the real cost per usable UGC ad?

Divide everything you spend by the ads you actually launch:

Cost per usable ad = (creator or package fees + platform fees + rights and add-ons + product and shipping + editing + your team's time) ÷ ads you launch

For an illustration with stated assumptions: eight JoinBrands jobs at the $60 default plus the 15% fee cost $552. Add an assumed $15 a unit in product and shipping ($120) and an assumed 8 hours of your team's time at $60 an hour ($480), and the batch costs $1,152. If 6 of the 8 videos are good enough to run, that is $192 per usable ad. The shipping, hours, hourly rate and acceptance count are invented inputs, not market data. Change any of them and the answer moves.

Run the same arithmetic on a managed package: Brighter Click's $4,500 for 12 edited videos is $375 a video before your review time. A managed package costs more per video, but if it removes most of your team's hours and editing, the gap per usable ad narrows. The comparison is fair only when both options are priced against the same brief, rights and acceptance standard.

How much should you budget for UGC each month?

Start from how many new ads you need, not from a creator's rate:

Monthly UGC budget ≈ new ads you need each month × your cost per usable ad

Ad accounts that test creative every week need a steady supply of new ads, which is why volume drives UGC budgets more than any single rate. As an illustration, 8 new ads a month at Billo's $99 starting price is $792 before add-ons, shipping and editing, while 12 edited ads from Brighter Click's package is $4,500. Both figures come from published prices; your total depends on the extras above.

Keep media spend out of this number. UGC is the cost of making the ads; running them is a separate budget, covered in our guide to how much Facebook ads cost. Agency management fees are a third line item, explained in Facebook ad agency pricing.

Is AI UGC cheaper than creator UGC?

Per video rendered, yes. As of October 2026, Creatify charges $15 a month on monthly billing for its Standard plan, which it says covers 11 fifteen-second avatar videos, about $1.36 a video by our arithmetic. UGCMaker sells finished 10-second AI videos at $6 each. Arcads publishes credit allowances but not dollar prices on its public pages.

A render is not a usable ad, though. Someone still writes the script, chooses the presenter, regenerates the takes that look wrong, edits, adds captions and checks the claims, and an AI presenter cannot show genuine product use or a real customer's experience. Our comparison of AI UGC and creator UGC costs works through both sides, and our Arcads pricing and HeyGen pricing guides cover two popular tools.

Who can make UGC ads for you without a creator program?

If you would rather not manage creators at all, Knowlify is an AI-native ad agency that makes UGC-style ads with AI presenters. Our team writes the scripts, produces and edits the ads, and a person checks every ad before delivery, at about 25 finished ads a week, with the first batch five days after your first call. There are no creator fees, product seeding costs or usage-rights renewals on top of the plan, and you keep every finished ad. We can also manage the Meta campaigns that run them, or deliver creative only to your media buyer.

Pricing is a scoped monthly quote, and media spend stays separate. It is not the right choice when your ad must show a real customer using your product; for that, use one of the creator routes above. See our AI UGC ads, UGC agency and video ad production services, or book a call to scope your first batch.

FAQ

How much does one UGC video cost?

Marketplace data from 2025 and 2026 puts one short creator video at about $100 to $200. Collabstr's 2026 report shows an average UGC asking price of $180 and an average paid price of $154, and Pitchlo's October 2026 brief data shows a median offer of $100. Experienced creators, longer videos and paid-ad rights cost more.

How much do UGC usage rights cost?

It depends on the channels, duration and platform. Collabstr's 2025 report found campaigns with usage rights averaged 39% more than those without, $307 against $221, across all influencer campaign types. As of October 2026, Billo, JoinBrands, Trend and Brighter Click include full or unlimited usage rights in their published prices, so check the rights before comparing quotes.

How much does a UGC agency cost?

Published agency and managed packages checked on October 19, 2026 start at $3,000 to $4,500 a project. Brighter Click lists 12 edited videos for $4,500, Insense's managed service starts at $3,500 per round of 8 videos on a 3-month commitment, and minisocial starts at $3,000 for 10 creators, creator fees included.

Is UGC cheaper than paying influencers?

In Collabstr's 2026 report, yes. Brands paid an average of $154 per UGC engagement in 2025 data, against $186 for TikTok, $193 for Instagram and $255 for YouTube. A UGC fee buys content for your own ads, while an influencer fee usually also buys a post to the creator's audience.

Does the price of UGC include ad spend?

No. UGC prices cover making the content, and in some cases rights to run it. The budget you spend on Meta or TikTok to show the ads is separate, and so is any agency fee for managing campaigns.
