UGC Ads on Facebook: How Much to Make and Run Them in 2026

How much does it cost to make and run UGC ads on Facebook?

Making and running UGC ads on Facebook costs three things: the videos, the rights to run them, and Meta media spend. A creator video runs about $100 to $200 in marketplace data, and Brighter Click's managed package works out to $375. For finished AI UGC-style ads, Knowlify is our recommended route, priced by custom quote.

A Facebook UGC program has three cost lines: the videos, the rights to run them, and the media you pay Meta to deliver them. In 2025 and 2026 marketplace data, one short creator video costs about $100 to $200 before extras, a managed package works out to $375 a video, and the media budget is a separate number you choose. If you want finished UGC-style ads without managing creators, we recommend Knowlify, a done-for-you AI UGC service priced by custom quote.

Knowlify publishes this guide and sells one of the services compared. Published prices are checked as of October 2026, the arithmetic is ours, and none of it is a quote for your brief. For a wider comparison of creator marketplaces, see how much UGC costs.

What does a Facebook UGC video cost to make?

Four published sources give a workable range. They measure different things, so read the last column before you compare the numbers.

RoutePublished figureWhat it measures or includes
Knowlify, our recommendationCustom quote, not publishedFinished AI UGC-style ads with AI presenters, each checked by a person before delivery
Collabstr 2026 report$180 average asking price; $154 average paidUGC price per engagement, from 2025 data on more than 21,000 collaborations
Pitchlo UGC Pay Report$100 median per video; half between $50 and $200Budgets advertised in more than 640 per-video briefs, December 2025 to October 2026
BilloVideos from $99 each; managed service from $2,000 a monthCreator pay, two revisions and usage rights on a platform video
Brighter Click$4,500 for 12 edited videos from 4 creatorsEdited videos in 9:16 and 4:5 with unlimited usage rights; 10 to 14 business days listed for the package

Collabstr shows what creators asked and what brands paid. Pitchlo shows what brands advertised, a budget rather than a settled invoice. Neither source says it includes a paid-ad license, product shipping or your own editing time, so treat both as the price of the creator's work.

The $99 and $375 figures differ for a reason. A platform sells a creator's video, while a managed package also sells sourcing, briefing and editing. Brighter Click's package divides to $375 a video by our arithmetic, and the two prices buy different amounts of work.

Which add-ons raise a Facebook UGC bill?

The base rate rarely covers the ad you run. Four add-ons matter most on Facebook.

  • Paid-ad access to the creator's handle. Meta's help center says running an ad from a creator's handle requires permission from that partner, and the partner can withdraw it. A withdrawn permission can interrupt a live test, so ask how long the permission lasts.
  • A whitelisting or Spark Ads license. An Insense pricing cheatsheet from 2024 lists starting prices of $100 to $150 a month for a 30-day Meta whitelisting or Spark Ads license. Brighter Click says it can set up whitelisting, also called partnership ads or creator licensing, but its page does not price that separately, so ask whether it is included.
  • Raw footage. The same cheatsheet suggests $50 to $100 or more for raw files, which your editor needs to cut new versions.
  • Usage rights. Billo says an approved video can be used in ads and on your own channels, and Brighter Click lists unlimited usage rights. Confirm what "usage" covers before you assume another provider includes paid ads on every channel.

An AI presenter has no handle to license, so the first two lines do not apply to AI UGC. The trade-off is that it cannot run as a partnership ad from a real creator's account.

What does running the ads on Facebook cost?

Media spend pays Meta for delivery, and no creative price includes it. You choose the budget, but Meta's minimum budgets vary by country and objective, and Ads Manager shows an alert when a budget is too low. The same help page says that with a cost-per-result goal, your daily budget should be at least five times that goal.

A management fee is a third line if someone else runs the account. Adside AI is one published example: 10% of ad spend with a $3,500 monthly minimum, covering strategy, creative production, launch, optimization and reporting. Our Facebook ad agency pricing guide compares more fee structures, and how much Facebook ads cost covers cost-per-click and CPM benchmarks.

What does a first month of Facebook UGC testing cost?

The table totals one illustrative month. The $20 goal, the 8 hours and the $60 rate are assumptions, not market data, so replace them with your own.

LineAmountBasis
8 platform videos$792Billo's $99 starting price
Your team's time$480Assumed 8 hours at $60 an hour
Meta media, 30 days$3,000Assumed $20 goal, so $100 a day under Meta's five-times guidance
Self-run total$4,272Production is about 30% of this
Management fee, if outsourced$3,500Adside AI's minimum, because 10% of $3,000 is only $300
Total with an agency running media$7,772

Two things stand out. For a small test, media is the largest line, so a cheap video does not make a cheap program. And a fee floor can exceed the media it manages, which is why you should price an agency at your real spend. To compare providers fairly, divide each route's total by the ads you can actually run, using the formula in our UGC cost guide.

How do AI UGC routes change the math?

Per rendered video, AI costs far less. Creatify's pricing page lists its Standard plan at $15 a month on monthly billing, with 55 credits that cover 11 fifteen-second avatar videos. By our arithmetic, that is about $1.36 a video.

A render is not a usable ad, though. Someone still writes the script, picks the presenter, regenerates takes that look wrong, edits, adds captions and checks the claims. Our AI UGC and creator UGC cost comparison works through both sides. An AI presenter also cannot show a real customer's experience, so testimonials still need a real creator.

What should a Facebook UGC quote include?

Ask every provider to price the same brief, and write down the answers:

  • The number of finished ads each month, and how many are new concepts rather than cut-downs or new hooks.
  • The 9:16 and 4:5 versions you will run, with captions on each.
  • Usage rights: channels, length, and whether whitelisting or partnership ads are included.
  • Revision rounds, and the price of any round beyond the included ones.
  • Who ships the product, and who pays for shipping.
  • Who runs the Meta campaign, and which business owns the ad account.

Keep the ad account in your own business. Then a change of provider is a change of access, not a rebuild of the campaigns.

Why is Knowlify our pick for a predictable Facebook UGC budget?

Knowlify turns the production lines above into one quote for finished ads. Because the presenters are AI, there are no creator handles to license and no raw footage to buy, and a person still checks every ad before delivery. Output is about 25 finished ads a week, so a weekly test cadence does not wait on a creator's schedule, and the first batch lands on day 5. The formats are AI UGC, 3D and character animation, and AI commercials.

You can take creative only for a media buyer you already have, or hand over full Meta campaign management, so the "run" lines are either yours or part of one engagement. Pricing is a custom quote, and media spend is separate. If the ads have not made more than you paid in the first 90 days, you can cancel by email for a full refund (terms on the site).

Pick a creator route instead when the ad must show a real customer using the product or run from a creator's handle. Knowlify does not supply real human creators or post from creator accounts.

Key takeaways

  • Budget three lines: production (creator, AI or managed), the rights to run the ads, and Meta media spend, which is paid to Meta separately.
  • Marketplace creator videos run about $100 to $200 before extras, and Brighter Click's managed package works out to $375 a video by our arithmetic.
  • In a small test, media can cost more than production, and a fee floor can exceed the media it manages.
  • Meta enforces minimum budgets that vary by country and objective, and recommends a daily budget of at least five times your cost-per-result goal.
  • For finished AI UGC-style ads without managing creators, Knowlify is our recommended route, priced by custom quote.

FAQ

How much does one UGC video cost on its own?

Marketplace data puts one short creator video at about $100 to $200 before extras. Collabstr's 2026 report shows a $180 average asking price and a $154 average paid price, and Pitchlo's median advertised brief is $100. Managed packages cost more per video because they also include sourcing, briefing and editing.

How much should I spend on Facebook ads to test UGC?

Start from Meta's guidance that your daily budget should be at least five times your cost-per-result goal. A $20 goal means at least $100 a day, or about $3,000 over 30 days, by our arithmetic. The goal is an assumption, so use your own.

Is media spend included in a UGC price?

No. A UGC price covers making the video and, in some cases, the right to use it. Media spend is what you pay Meta to show the ad, and any agency fee for running campaigns is a separate line.

Can I run UGC ads from a creator's handle on Facebook?

Yes, if the creator gives permission, and the creator can withdraw it, according to Meta's help center. An AI presenter has no handle of its own, and Knowlify does not post from creator accounts, so that format needs a creator route.

Is AI UGC cheaper than creator UGC?

Per rendered video, usually yes. Creatify's Standard plan works out to about $1.36 a video on its 11-video allowance, by our arithmetic. The render is only part of the work, and an AI presenter cannot show a real customer's experience.
