What are the best MakeUGC alternatives, and how much does MakeUGC cost?
As of October 2026, MakeUGC costs $29 to $79 a month billed yearly, or $59 to $149 billed monthly. Self-serve alternatives include Arcads, Creatify, HeyGen and TopView. For done-for-you ads, compare Managed by MakeUGC, Creatify Studio ($100 to $200 a video) and Knowlify, which scripts, produces and checks finished Meta ads.
The right MakeUGC alternative depends on what you want to change. If you want a different self-serve app, compare Arcads for scripted AI actor ads, Creatify for ads built from a product page, HeyGen for presenter videos and translation, and TopView for an agent that plans the video for you. If you want someone else to write, make and check the ads, compare MakeUGC's own managed service, Creatify Studio and Knowlify. Either way, price the options on finished ads you would actually run, not on credits.
Disclosure and method. Knowlify publishes this page and sells one of the services compared. Every fact about another company comes from that company's own website, checked on October 27, 2026. We did not buy plans or run the same brief through each product, so this is a comparison of published scope, pricing and terms, not a test of output quality or ad results. Prices change often, so confirm them on each site before you buy.
How much does MakeUGC cost?
As of October 2026, the MakeUGC pricing page lists three self-serve plans and a custom Enterprise plan. The headline prices assume yearly billing; a toggle on the same page shows the quarterly and monthly prices below.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed quarterly | Billed yearly | Monthly credits | Export | Custom avatars |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $59 a month | $41 a month | $29 a month | 500 | 480p, 720p | 0 |
| Growth | $79 a month | $55 a month | $39 a month | 1,000 | HD, 2K, 4K | 1 |
| Pro | $149 a month | $104 a month | $79 a month | 2,000 to 5,000 | HD, 2K, 4K | 3 |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing | Custom pricing | Custom pricing | Custom | Not listed | Not listed |
The terms around those prices matter as much as the prices (all as of October 2026):
- Trial. Any plan can be tried for $1. The MakeUGC trial policy describes a $1, 72-hour trial (the pricing page says checkout shows the exact length and renewal amount). Unless you cancel in your account settings before the trial ends, it converts to a paid plan at the standard price, and the $1 fee is non-refundable. Trial output may be watermarked or limited in resolution or length.
- Credits. Each generation costs credits based on its model, duration and resolution. Credits are shared between the studio and the API (included on every plan), refresh monthly and do not roll over.
- Limits. Starter exports at 480p or 720p and runs one video and one image generation at a time. Growth and Pro export up to 4K and run more generations in parallel.
- Refunds. The MakeUGC refund policy says fees are generally final. A discretionary refund request must arrive within three business days of the charge, and the most you can get depends on credits used that period: up to a full refund with none used, up to half with less than 50% used, and nothing at 50% or more. Credits for generations that fail because of a service error are returned automatically, but output you dislike is not refunded.
- Enterprise. Custom credits and dedicated capacity, a dedicated creative strategist, approval workflows, volume API pricing and an optional managed service called Managed by MakeUGC, covered below.
What do you get for that? As of October 2026, the MakeUGC homepage calls it an AI video generator for ads, with more than 1,000 AI actors, Product in Hand (actors hold your product), a custom AI avatar, Ad Remake for remaking a winning ad, batch mode, more than 50 languages and video models such as Seedance 2.5, Veo 3.1 and Kling 4.0 in one studio. The pricing page lists 300+ actors on Starter, 500+ on Growth and 1,000+ on Pro.
A plan price is not a price per ad. Credits buy generations, a usable ad can take several, and someone still writes the script, reviews each take and finishes the edit.
Should you switch apps or hand off production?
Start with the reason you are looking. Each one points to a different shortlist.
- You want a different workflow. You still want to run a tool yourself, but you would rather start from a product page, translate one ad into many languages or let an agent plan the shots. Compare the self-serve apps below.
- Nobody has time to run the tool. Scripts, retries, review and editing keep slipping. Another subscription will not fix that. Compare the done-for-you options below.
- The ad needs a real person. If the ad depends on a real customer or creator handling the product, an AI app will not supply one, and Knowlify uses AI presenters only. Use a human creator agency instead.
Which MakeUGC alternative fits your job?
| Option | Type | Best for | Published price (as of October 2026) | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MakeUGC (for reference) | Self-serve app | AI actors, product-in-hand ads and many models in one studio | $29 to $79 a month billed yearly; $59 to $149 billed monthly | You |
| Arcads | Self-serve app | Scripted talking-actor ads from a 1,000+ actor library | No dollar price published; Starter is 8,000 monthly credits | You |
| Creatify | Self-serve app | Turning a product page into an avatar ad | Free plan with watermark; Standard $15 a month, shown as $10 with the annual discount | You |
| HeyGen | Self-serve app | Presenter avatars and translation into 175+ languages and dialects | Free plan (3 watermarked videos a month); Creator $29 a month | You |
| TopView | Self-serve app | An agent that plans a video from a script, URL or reference video | $36 a month billed annually; no free plan listed | You |
| Managed by MakeUGC | Done-for-you service | Keeping MakeUGC's platform while a strategist runs production | Custom retainer, priced on a call | MakeUGC's strategist and team |
| Creatify Studio | Done-for-you service | A per-video price and a 48-hour turnaround | $100 to $200 a video | Creatify's team |
| Knowlify AI UGC ads | Done-for-you agency | About 25 finished Facebook and Instagram ads a week, with optional Meta ads management | Custom quote on a 30-minute call | Knowlify's team |
The prices buy different units. Self-serve plans buy credits, Creatify Studio quotes per video, and Managed by MakeUGC and Knowlify quote custom scopes. Media spend is always separate.
Self-serve apps like MakeUGC
These four keep you in control of every script and take. Our best AI video ad generators guide covers more tools, including Higgsfield and Meta's own Advantage+ creative.
Arcads: scripted ads from a large AI actor library
As of October 2026, Arcads offers a library of more than 1,000 AI actors, lets you generate your own actor and have it hold your product or show your app, and lets you direct an actor's emotion by writing how you want it. It also has AI tools to edit, translate, extend, subtitle and upscale video. The Arcads FAQ says its talking actors speak 74 languages and are based on real actors who gave consent and are paid for their likeness. It lists Starter, Creator, Pro, Scale and Business plans from 8,000 to 192,000 monthly credits, but no dollar prices, plus a 72-hour, 1,000-credit trial that needs a card (not charged during the trial) and moves to the Starter monthly plan unless you cancel.
Consider it instead of MakeUGC when your ads are mostly scripted talking-actor videos and you want a second actor library to compare. Confirm the price in your account, since Arcads does not publish one. Our Arcads versus MakeUGC comparison sets out a two-tool pilot with a worked cost-per-ad example.
Creatify: from a product page to an ad
As of October 2026, Creatify's URL to Video takes a product page link (the sources it shows include Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and the App Store), pulls the page's assets, writes a script and produces a video ad with an AI avatar. The Creatify pricing page lists a free plan with 10 credits a month (up to 2 video ads, with a watermark) and Standard at $15 a month with 55 credits, shown as $10 a month with its annual-plan discount. Manual edits such as text, captions and trims are free, anything that re-runs the AI uses credits, and paid-plan credits expire after two months.
Consider it instead of MakeUGC when you sell many products and want a first ad for each one straight from its product page.
HeyGen: presenter avatars and translation
As of October 2026, HeyGen describes AI videos built around avatars, including a personal avatar of you, a prompt-based Video Agent and video translation across more than 175 languages and dialects. It lists marketing and sales promos among the videos you can make; its homepage does not mention ads specifically. The HeyGen pricing page lists a free plan with 3 watermarked videos a month, Creator at $29 a month ($24 a month billed annually) with 600 credits and 1080p export, and Pro at $49 a month with 1,000 credits and 4K export.
Consider it instead of MakeUGC when a founder or spokesperson avatar should deliver the message, or one ad needs to run in several languages.
TopView: an agent that plans the video
As of October 2026, TopView calls itself an AI video agent for short films and marketing videos. You describe an idea or add a script, reference video or product URL, and it plans scenes, picks models, generates assets and keeps each shot editable on a canvas. It says it makes UGC-style ads with AI presenters and can analyze a reference video's style, rhythm, shot structure and hooks. The TopView pricing page lists Plus at $36 a month billed annually ($432 a year) with 100 credits a month. It lists no free plan, and unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
Consider it instead of MakeUGC when you want an agent to plan a video around an ad structure that already works for you. Only recreate reference ads you have the right to use.
Done-for-you alternatives to MakeUGC
If the problem is the hours rather than the tool, a managed service takes on scripting, generation, editing and review, and you approve the results. Our best AI UGC agencies guide compares more providers with published prices; these three are the closest to what a MakeUGC buyer is used to.
Managed by MakeUGC: the same platform, run for you
Before switching, price MakeUGC's own managed option. As of October 2026, the MakeUGC Enterprise page describes Managed by MakeUGC as human-led strategy with AI production on MakeUGC. A creative strategist learns your brand and agrees angles with you, the team researches your category and generates personas, hooks and scripts, and a strategist reviews every ad before it ships. Finished ads land in a dashboard where you comment, approve and request same-day revisions. Its comparison table lists a 48-hour turnaround, 40 to 160+ videos a month and a custom retainer, and the booking form says pricing is shared on the call and set to your ad spend. The page does not say MakeUGC runs your ad campaigns.
Consider it when you like what MakeUGC makes but nobody on your team has time to operate it.
Creatify Studio: a published per-video price
As of October 2026, Creatify Studio describes a similar human-led, AI-produced service: its team and AI research your category and produce personas, concepts, hooks, scripts and full video ads, and a creative expert reviews every ad before it ships. Its comparison table lists $100 to $200 per video, a 48-hour turnaround and 25 to 100+ videos a month, and the page offers unlimited same-day revisions and says it works with Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap and Amazon. The Studio page does not say whether its ads use AI avatars or real creators, or that Studio runs campaigns.
Consider it when you want a published per-video price before you talk to sales.
Knowlify: finished Meta ads, with or without campaign management
Knowlify (YC S25) is a done-for-you AI ads agency for Facebook and Instagram, not a self-serve tool. Our team scripts and produces AI UGC, 3D character animation and AI commercial video ads: about 25 finished ads a week (about 100 a month), delivered in weekly batches, and a person checks every ad before delivery. Our UGC-style ads use AI presenters, not real creators. You choose end-to-end Meta ads management in your own ad account, or creative only if you already have a media buyer, and you keep every ad. Pricing is a custom quote on a 30-minute call, and the first batch arrives five days after kickoff.
Our UGC agency and video ad production pages explain the service, and our Facebook and Instagram video ad examples show public ads made for Parva and Casco.
When Knowlify is not the right fit: you want to run a tool yourself at a low, fixed monthly cost (a self-serve plan above suits that better), you need real human creators or customers on camera, you need only a few ads a month, your ads run mainly outside Facebook and Instagram, or you want a published price before a call (Creatify Studio publishes one).
How to choose between MakeUGC and an alternative
- Decide who operates it. If someone on your team can write scripts, generate, review and edit every week, stay self-serve. If not, compare managed options before buying another plan.
- Match the starting point. For a script and an actor, compare MakeUGC and Arcads. For a product page, try Creatify. For a presenter in many languages, try HeyGen. For a reference ad, try TopView or MakeUGC's Ad Remake.
- Check the limits that affect your batch. Look at export resolution, parallel generations, credit rollover, trial conversion and the refund window before you pay.
- Run one brief through two options. Use the same script, product assets and pass criteria: accurate product, clear speech, natural delivery, readable captions and the export you need. Count attempts, accepted ads and hands-on hours.
- Price per accepted ad. Add the plan, extra credits and your team's hours, then divide by the ads you would actually run. Compare that with a managed quote plus your own review time, and keep cash spending and staff hours in separate columns.
- Keep scripts honest. An AI presenter is not a customer, so never script one to claim personal results, and check each product's terms for paid-ad use.
Key takeaways
- As of October 2026, MakeUGC costs $29 to $79 a month billed yearly or $59 to $149 billed monthly; credits do not roll over, and refunds are discretionary and must be requested within three business days.
- For another self-serve app, choose by starting point: Arcads for scripted actor ads, Creatify for product pages, HeyGen for presenters and translation, TopView for reference-led planning.
- If the bottleneck is time, compare done-for-you options: Managed by MakeUGC, Creatify Studio and Knowlify.
- Compare cost per accepted ad, not cost per credit, and keep media spend separate.
