What is the best AI video ad generator for Facebook and Instagram ads?
It depends on the job. As of October 2026, Arcads and MakeUGC center on AI actors for UGC-style ads, Creatify and Higgsfield turn a product link into ads, HeyGen fits multilingual presenter videos, and Meta's Advantage+ creative makes video from images in Ads Manager. Knowlify is a done-for-you alternative that delivers finished ads.
The best AI video ad generator depends on the ad you need. For talking-head UGC with AI actors, compare Arcads and MakeUGC; to turn a product page into ads, compare Creatify, Higgsfield's Marketing Studio and TopView; for presenter videos in many languages, compare HeyGen; and to make video from images you already run, start with Meta's Advantage+ creative. If you would rather receive finished ads than operate a tool, a done-for-you service such as Knowlify is the other route.
Disclosure and method. Knowlify publishes this guide and sells one of the services compared. Every fact about another company comes from that company's own website, checked on October 26, 2026, and facts about Meta's tools come from Meta's own pages. We did not buy plans or run the same brief through each tool, so this is a comparison of published scope and pricing, not a test of output quality or ad results. Plans change often, so confirm them before you buy.
How we compared these generators
We chose tools that buyer guides and AI answers commonly name for AI video ads, that publish an ad creation product page and that are operating today, and added Meta's own generative AI video features because they sit inside Ads Manager. For each, we noted the input it takes (script, product link, photo or reference ad), the output it makes, the lowest published paid plan, whether you or a managed team does the work, and whether results can be edited in place or must be generated again, which affects how many credits a usable ad takes. We grouped the tools by job rather than ranking them, because a product commercial tool and a talking-actor tool solve different problems.
Which is the best AI video ad generator for your job?
| Job | Tool | Best for | Lowest published paid plan (as of October 2026) | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Talking AI actor ads | Arcads | UGC-style ads from a script, with a large actor library | No dollar price published; Starter plan is 8,000 monthly credits | You |
| Talking AI actor ads | MakeUGC | Actors holding your product; one custom avatar across a series | $29 a month billed yearly (500 credits) | You, or a managed Enterprise option |
| Product link to ad | Creatify | Avatar ads from product pages across a catalog | $15 a month (55 credits); free plan with watermark | You, or its managed Studio team |
| Product link to ad | Higgsfield Marketing Studio | Product commercials, unboxing and UGC templates | Not shown on its pricing page when we checked | You |
| Product link to ad | TopView | An agent that plans a video from a brief, URL or reference video | $36 a month billed annually (100 credits a month) | You |
| Presenter video and translation | HeyGen | Avatar presenters and one video in many languages | $29 a month (600 credits); free plan with watermark | You |
| Video from existing images | Meta Advantage+ creative | Video variations from static ad assets you already run, in Ads Manager | No separate price listed; part of Ads Manager | You |
| Finished ads, done for you | Knowlify AI UGC ads | About 25 finished Meta ads a week, optional campaign management | Custom quote on a 30-minute call | Knowlify's team |
A plan price is not a price per ad: credits buy generations, and a usable ad can take several, plus scripting, review and editing time. Our DIY versus done-for-you cost guide shows how to turn a plan price into a cost per approved ad.
Arcads: AI actors for talking-head UGC ads
As of October 2026, Arcads describes a platform to create, refine and launch video ads with AI. Its homepage lists more than 1,000 AI actors, the option to generate your own actor holding your product or showing your app, written direction of an actor's emotion, a choice of video models, and tools to translate, subtitle and upscale video. The Arcads FAQ says its talking actors speak 74 languages and are based on real actors who consented and are paid for their likeness. It lists five plans from 8,000 to 192,000 monthly credits and a 72-hour, 1,000-credit trial that requires a card (not charged during the trial), but no dollar prices. Our Arcads pricing guide explains its credits.
Consider it when you want many variations of a scripted message from different AI actors, and someone on your team will write scripts and review every output.
MakeUGC: product-in-hand ads and a recurring avatar
As of October 2026, MakeUGC calls itself an AI video generator for ads. Its features include talking actors, Product in Hand (actors hold your product), a custom AI avatar, ad remakes, batch mode and an API, with avatars speaking more than 50 languages. The MakeUGC pricing page lists Starter at $29 a month billed yearly with 500 credits and 480p or 720p export, and Growth at $39 a month billed yearly with 1,000 credits, up to 4K export and one custom avatar. Any plan can be tried for $1, credits do not roll over, and Enterprise adds an optional service called Managed by MakeUGC, priced through sales.
Consider it when the product needs to be in a presenter's hand, or you want the same AI face across a series. Starter tops out at 720p, so check resolution first.
Creatify: from a product page to an ad
As of October 2026, Creatify's URL to Video takes a product page link (the page shows Amazon, Shopify and the App Store among supported sources), pulls the page's assets, writes a script and produces an ad with an AI avatar from a library of more than 1,000. The Creatify pricing page lists a free plan with 10 credits a month (up to 2 watermarked video ads) and Standard at $15 a month with 55 credits, lower with annual billing. It says anything that re-runs the AI uses credits, while manual edits such as captions and trims are free. Creatify Studio is its managed service: its team and AI produce the scripts and ads, a person reviews every ad, and the pricing page lists 25 to 100+ videos a month with a 48-hour turnaround. The pricing page gives no Studio plan price and asks you to book a demo.
Consider it when you sell many products and want a repeatable first ad for each. Our Creatify review covers plans and Studio in more depth.
HeyGen: presenter videos and translation
As of October 2026, HeyGen describes an AI video platform built around avatars, including a personal avatar of you, with a prompt-based Video Agent and lip-matched video translation across more than 175 languages and dialects. It lists marketing and sales promos among its uses; the homepage does not mention ads specifically. The HeyGen pricing page lists a free plan with 3 watermarked videos a month, Creator at $29 a month ($24 billed annually) with 600 credits and 1080p export, and Pro at $49 a month with 4K export. Our HeyGen pricing guide maps credits to finished videos.
Consider it when a founder or spokesperson avatar should deliver the message, or you need one ad in several languages.
TopView: an agent that plans the video
As of October 2026, TopView describes itself as an AI video agent for short films and marketing videos. You paste a product URL, brief, script or reference video, and it plans scenes, picks models and generates assets on an editable canvas. It says it can make UGC-style ads with AI presenters, and that it analyzes a reference video's pacing, shots, hooks and structure to recreate its creative direction. The TopView pricing page lists Plus at $36 a month billed annually ($432 a year) with 100 credits a month and API access. It lists no free plan, and unused credits do not roll over.
Consider it when you want to adapt an ad structure that already works to a new product. Only recreate reference ads you have the right to use.
Higgsfield Marketing Studio: product commercials from a link
As of October 2026, Higgsfield's Marketing Studio turns a product link, or up to five product photos, into product shots, UGC videos and ads. Video modes include TV Spot, UGC, Product Review, Unboxing and virtual try-on, and a custom AI presenter can be pinned and reused across campaigns. The page says output can run in paid campaigns, subject to Higgsfield's terms. Its Marketing Studio help article says that to change a video you generate it again, and that UGC voiceover and pacing can vary, so review each output. The Higgsfield pricing page did not show plan amounts in our check, so confirm the price there.
Consider it when the product's look carries the sale and you want commercial-style shots rather than a talking presenter.
Meta Advantage+ creative: video from images you already run
As of October 2026, Meta says Advantage+ creative uses AI to generate and enhance ad variations across image, video and carousel formats in Ads Manager, and the page mentions image animation and video expansion enhancements. Some enhancements may be on by default and can be turned off, and Meta recommends reviewing previews before launch. In its Advertising Week 2026 announcement on October 6, 2026, Meta said generating video from existing static assets is now generally available, that Ads Creative Studio can generate video concepts with editable hooks, audio, captions and end scenes, and that eligible catalog advertisers in a beta can turn product images into product videos.
Consider it when you want motion versions of images that already perform, without a new tool. Most of these features start from images and catalog products you already have, so they complement talking-actor tools rather than replace them.
Knowlify: finished AI ads instead of another tool
Knowlify (YC S25) is a done-for-you AI ads agency for Facebook and Instagram, not a self-serve generator. Our team writes the scripts and makes AI UGC, 3D character animation and AI commercial video ads, about 25 finished ads a week (about 100 a month, in weekly batches), and a person checks every ad before delivery. Our UGC-style ads use AI presenters, not real human creators. You can choose end-to-end Meta ads, with campaign management in your own Meta ad account, or creative-only if you have a media buyer, and you keep the ads. Pricing is a custom quote on a 30-minute call, the first batch arrives five days after kickoff, and there is a 90-day guarantee (terms on knowlify.com). Public client ads for Parva and Casco are in our Facebook and Instagram video ad examples.
Knowlify is not the right fit when you want to run a tool yourself for a low fixed software cost, you need only a few ads a month, you need real customers or creators on camera (see our best UGC agencies guide), or your ads run mainly outside Facebook and Instagram.
How are AI UGC ads made?
Most AI UGC ads go through the same steps, whether a tool or an agency makes them. What differs is who does each step.
- Angle and script. Someone picks the audience, problem and promise and writes a short script with the hook first. Some tools draft scripts from a product page, but a person still checks the claims.
- Presenter. An AI actor is chosen from a library or generated, and can be reused for a consistent face.
- Voice and performance. The tool turns the script into speech and a lip-synced talking clip.
- Product and B-roll. Product, in-hand or demo shots are generated or uploaded.
- Edit. Clips are cut with captions, music and an end card. Some tools edit in place; others charge credits to regenerate.
- Review. A person checks product accuracy, claims, pronunciation and lip-sync.
- Launch and test. Ads go into Ads Manager, and results shape the next scripts.
A generator automates steps 2 to 5. Steps 1, 6 and 7 stay with whoever owns the account, so the generator-or-agency question is mostly about who has time for scripting, review and testing each week.
Should you use an AI UGC generator or hire an AI UGC agency?
Use a generator when someone on your team can write scripts, operate the tool and review every output each week. Hire a service when production keeps slipping because nobody owns it.
| Your situation | Lean toward |
|---|---|
| A marketer with editing skills and spare hours each week | A generator, starting on a free plan or trial |
| A handful of ads for one test | A generator |
| A steady weekly batch, and nobody owns production | A managed service: Creatify Studio, Managed by MakeUGC or Knowlify |
| Creative and Meta campaign management from one team | An agency that runs campaigns, such as Knowlify's end-to-end plan |
| Real customers or creators on camera | A human UGC agency, not an AI tool |
Price both routes on the same unit: finished ads that pass your review. A cheap plan can cost more than a service once scripting, retries and editing time are counted, and a service can cost more than a tool if your team already has that capacity.
What should you check before running AI video ads on Meta?
- AI labels. Meta labels ads created or significantly edited with its own generative AI tools. In a June 2026 update to its generative AI transparency post, Meta said these "AI info" labels will appear in a new About this ad section and that it will begin detecting ads made with third-party AI tools through industry-standard signals and labeling them too.
- Default enhancements. Review Advantage+ creative previews and turn off any enhancement that changes your product or message.
- Likeness and terms. Ask how each tool's actors were made and whether its terms cover paid ads.
- Honest scripts. An AI presenter is not a customer, so never script one to claim personal results.
- Product accuracy. Check labels, packaging, app screens and claims in every export.
Key takeaways
- Choose by job: Arcads or MakeUGC for AI actor UGC; Creatify, Higgsfield or TopView for product-link ads; HeyGen for presenters and translation; Advantage+ creative for video from existing images.
- As of October 2026, the lowest published paid plans in the table run from $15 to $36 a month, but credits buy generations, not finished ads.
- A generator automates production; scripting, review and testing still need an owner.
- If nobody owns those steps, compare a managed service. If you need real people on camera, use a human UGC agency.
FAQ
Which AI video ad generator fits ecommerce brands?
For a catalog, start with tools that take a product link: as of October 2026, Creatify's URL to Video, Higgsfield's Marketing Studio and TopView all do. For a presenter holding the product, compare MakeUGC's Product in Hand.
Are there free AI video ad generators?
As of October 2026, Creatify and HeyGen list free plans with watermarked exports, MakeUGC offers a $1 trial, and Arcads describes a 72-hour trial that requires a card. Meta's Advantage+ creative sits inside Ads Manager with no separate price listed.
Can AI video ads run on Facebook and Instagram?
Yes. Meta's own Advantage+ creative generates video for ads, and ads made with outside tools upload as ordinary video files. Meta labels ads made with its own generative AI tools and says it will begin labeling ads it detects were made with third-party AI tools.
Is Knowlify an AI video ad generator?
No. Knowlify is a done-for-you agency: our team writes the scripts, makes the ads with AI, checks every one and delivers about 25 a week, with optional campaign management in your Meta ad account. Our UGC-style ads use AI presenters, not real creators. To discuss a quote, book a 30-minute call.
