Good news. Your order has shipped and is on its way. That's what the AI drafted for a customer update. It sounds confident, but this tool hasn't checked the dispatch record. Before hitting Send, our employee pauses to check the claim. A well-written message isn't the same as a verified fact. She leaves her desk to check with the dispatch team. And there it is: the same parcel, still waiting on the bench.
The dispatch colleague confirms it: ready for pickup, not shipped. She goes back to her desk and replaces the invented claim with the verified status. Before sending, she asks her colleague to check the update. Does it describe what actually happened? Only after that review does she send it. The parcel is still waiting, and the message says so. AI can draft the message. You're responsible for the facts.
