Agency Pricing Calculator
Set the monthly ad spend you would manage, pick a pricing model, and add the hours the account takes. See a typical fee range for that spend tier and whether it meets your target hourly rate.
Quick answer
Ad management is commonly priced as a percentage of spend that falls as budgets grow: roughly 15% to 20% under $10k a month, 10% to 15% from $10k to $50k, and 8% to 10% above $50k, usually with a minimum fee. These are market conventions, not survey data. This calculator applies them and shows what the fee works out to per hour.

FAQ
Questions people ask about Agency Pricing Calculator
How much do agencies charge to manage ad spend?+
A common convention is 15% to 20% of spend for small accounts, 10% to 15% for mid-sized accounts, and 8% to 10% for large ones, with a minimum monthly fee. Actual pricing varies with scope, niche, and results.
Should I charge a percentage of spend or a flat retainer?+
Percent of spend grows with the client and is simple to explain, but your income drops if they cut budget. A flat retainer is predictable for both sides. A hybrid gives you a floor plus some upside as spend grows.
What is a reasonable minimum management fee?+
Many freelancers and small agencies set a floor of $500 to $1,000 a month, because a small account still needs setup, reporting, and communication regardless of budget.
Is ad spend included in the management fee?+
No. The management fee pays for the work. The client pays the ad platforms for media separately, ideally on their own card and in their own ad account.
Why does the percentage drop as spend grows?+
The work does not scale in step with the budget. Managing $100k a month is more work than managing $10k, but not ten times more, so the rate falls while the total fee still rises.
Is Agency Pricing Calculator free?+
