Full transcript.
An urgent message asks you to open a file, sign in, or approve a payment. Pause before acting. Check the sender’s full address, not just the display name. Unexpected requests, pressure, and unusual links are warning signs. Do not open the attachment or use the message’s contact details. Verify the request through a trusted channel you already know.
Contact the person using your company directory or a saved number. If the request is suspicious, report it using your organization’s phishing-reporting process. Do not forward it to colleagues or reply to the sender. If you already clicked or shared information, stop interacting and contact your IT or security team immediately. Explain what happened and follow their instructions. Reporting quickly helps protect everyone.
