  • accordions and tabs that let learners choose detail;
  • knowledge checks and quizzes;
  • scenarios and branching decisions;
  • downloadable references;
  • links and embedded resources;
  • interactive Storyline blocks;
  • LMS completion logic.

A linear video cannot preserve all those behaviors by itself. The useful question is not “How do we export Articulate Rise to video?” but “Which learning function should video perform, and what must remain interactive?”

2. Identify the approved source

Rise may be the delivery format rather than the source of truth. Find the current policy, SOP, product documentation, or subject-matter owner behind the lesson. Record version and effective date. Resolve discrepancies before scripting.

SCORM, xAPI, cmi5, and LMS caveats

Rise 360 can publish courses for LMS delivery using standards and options documented by Articulate. If a course’s completion rule was “complete all blocks,” replacing blocks or changing lesson structure may affect the learner path. Re-publish and regression-test the package.

Original: A 15-minute Rise course contains six long text sections, one accordion of definitions, a five-question quiz, and a downloadable reporting form.

Redesign:

  1. Keep the definitions as accessible text and the form as a download.

  3. Retain the scored quiz because passive viewing does not demonstrate comprehension.
